Since we made these and Grandma Baker’s Peanut Butter Fingers (more peanut butter and chocolate!) on Dec. 6, we decided not to make Peanut Butter Cookies this year. We made a pan each, and these newcomers vanished from our Christmas cookie trays as quickly as their veteran counterparts.
Carla's Peanut Butter Bursts
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
In a large bowl, combine and beat until creamy:
1 c butter, softened
3/4 c firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
Add and beat well:
1 egg
Gradually add and mix well:
2 c self-rising flour
Stir in:
1 10-ounce package peanut butter morsels
Spread in greased baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
Cool and cut into squares.
